(THTTC3505 CHURCH LANE / SUTTON HILL ROAD, BISHOP SUTTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

· A road closure in that length of Church Lane, Bishop Sutton from a point outside 2 Church Cottages extending east to its junction with Sutton Hill Road. USRN:  47902596.

· A road closure in that length of Sutton Hill Road from its junction with the A368 The Street, extending south east to its junction with Church Lane. USRN: 47917865.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to undertake decayed pole changes on the 10^th June 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS between 09:00 – 16:00hrs only.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Church Lane closure: Church Lane (remainder) – A368 – Vice versa.

Sutton Hill Road closure: Sutton Hill Road (remainder) – Stowey Road – The Street – A368 – Vice versa.
