(THTTC3373 CHURCH LANE / SHAFT ROAD, MONKTON COMBE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

· Church Lane, Monkton Combe (site 4) from its junction with Mill Lane extending to its junction with The Drung. USRN: 47961661.

·  Church Lane, Monkton Combe (site 5) from its junction with Mill Lane extending to its junction with Shaft Road. USRN: 47961661.

· Shaft Road, Monkton Combe (site 7) from its junction with The Croft extending north to a point outside the property known as Eddystone. USRN: 47902298.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to carry sewer rehabilitation via CIPP lining including cover and frame changes on the 13^th February 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months.

These works will be carried out in phases and only one road will be closed at a time. Anticipated closure dates are as follows:

• Site 4 is anticipated to take place between 13^th – 18^th February 2024
• Site 5 is anticipated to take place between 25^th March – 5^th April 2024
• Site 7 is anticipated to take place between 1^st – 5^th April 2024

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Site 4: Church Lane – Summer Lane – Combe Road – A3062 North Road – Claverton Down Road – Brassknocker Hill – Church Lane – Vice versa.

Site 5: Church Lane – Summer Lane – Combe Road – A3062 North Road – Shaft Road – Vice versa.

Site 7: Shaft Road - Claverton Down Road – Brassknocker Hill – Church Lane – Vice versa.
