Notice is hereby given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily:

    1. close to both vehicles and pedestrians that length of Lower Borough Walls, Bath from a point approximately 20 metres from its junction with Hot Bath Street in an easterly direction to the rising bollards, a distance of approximately 65 metres;

    1. suspend the one-way working on Hot Bath Street from its junction with Beau Street to its junction with Lower Borough Walls to allow vehicles to travel in both directions;

    1. temporarily reverse the one-way working of Beau Street to allow vehicles to travel in a west to east direction only;

    1. Temporarily suspend the parking on Beau Street.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road consequent upon a construction project in the carriageway by Helm Construction and will be operative from the 11th September 2018 for a maximum period of one year. However, the restrictions may not be effected for the whole of the period but it is anticipated that the road will be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works which it is anticipated will be for 1 year however all works are to stop and the carriageway re-opened during the Christmas Embargo between the dates of 22nd November 2018 – 7th January 2019.
