(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure and suspend all parking to vehicles in that length of York Street, Bath from its junction with Terrace Walk for its entire length. 

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for advanced statutory utility works, civil engineering works associated with the installation of Hostile Vehicle Mitigation bollards by Bath and North East Somerset Council on the 5th January 2023 for a maximum period of 8 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. THE CLOSURE WILL ONLY BE LIVE WHEN SIGNS AND MARSHALS ARE IN POSITION.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Pierrepont Street – Manvers Street – Dorchester Street – Broad Quay – Ambury – Corn Street – St James Parade – Lower Borough Walls – Stall Street – Abbeygate Street – Abbey Green.

(NB – Access to Lower Borough Walls is prohibited to all vehicles between 10am and 6pm daily, except those authorised)
