(VARIOUS ROADS, BATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2021

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 16a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order of which will be to close to vehicles and cycles the roads and lengths of roads, including footways, as specified below:

 

Route

Sydney Place (road closure for about 8 minutes if done in one) – as this is a busy road it could be done in batches so as to reduce the length of hold up to traffic.

Great Pulteney Street (road closure required until Promenades have left the street) Promenade the full length of Great Pulteney Street to Laura Place (road closure) around Laura Place on the left straight ahead through Argyle Street (road closure) onto Pulteney Bridge (road closure), right to Bridge Street (road closure) and then straight ahead into Upper Borough Walls,

left into Union Street and continue into Stall Street and turn right into Bath Street

bear left into Hot Bath Street then left into Beau Street and left again into Stall Street and right into York Street, left onto Terrace Walk (stop tour buses)

Cross Grand Parade (road closure) into Parade Gardens and Finish.

 

The order is required to prevent obstruction during the holding of the Jane Austen Grand Regency Costumed Promenade on Saturday 11th September 2021 between the times of 11:00hrs and 12:00hrs and shall be a rolling road closure.
