Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure, a pavement closure and a no right turn restriction in the length of roads listed in Schedules 1, 2 and 3. |

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for S278 works to install the required services to connect a puffin crossing by JLES South West Limited on the 20th February 2023 for a maximum period of 7 weeks. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for FORTY DAYS. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE (due to night closure): Eastbound traffic: Lower Bristol Road – Windsor Bridge Road – A4 Upper Bristol Road – Charlotte Street – Queen Square – Chapel Row – Charles Street – Green Park Road – Corn Street – St James Parade – Southgate Street – Broad Quay – Churchill Bridge – Lower Bristol Road Westbound traffic: Lower Bristol Road – Churchill Bridge – Broad Quay – Ambury – Corn Street – Green Park Road – Charles Street – Monmouth Place – A4 Upper Bristol Road - Windsor Bridge Road – Lower Bristol Road ALTERNATIVE ROUTE (due to no right turn): Eastbound traffic: Lower Bristol Road (remainder) – Claverton Street – Wells Road – Lower Bristol Road.
