(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2019


 


Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 16a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order of which will be to close to vehicles and cycles the roads and lengths of roads, including footways, as specified below:


 


Route

Straight through the gate at the back of the Holburne Museum from Sydney Gardens – Walk around the left and right of the museum and come through the main gateway at the front. ASSISTED crossing of Sydney Place into Great Pulteney Street – Straight down Great Pulteney Street – around Laura Place on the left  - straight ahead through Argyle Street and onto Pulteney Bridge, right > ASSISTED crossing to Bridge Street and then > right into Northgate Street and bear left < into Broad Street – continue to the top, then ASSISTED <left turn into George Street. ASSISTED <left turn into Milsom Street and continue to the bottom, bear <left into New Bond Street then >right into Northgate Street keep right> into High Street past the front of the Guildhall, <left into Orange Grove, with ASSISTED crossing of Grand Parade, i9nto Parade Gardens to finish.


 


The order is required to prevent obstruction during the holding of the Jane Austen Grand Regency Costumed Promenade on Saturday 14th September 2019 between the times of 11:00hrs and 12:00hrs and shall be a rolling road closure.
