Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure / footpath closure, no waiting restriction, and a no left turn restriction to vehicles listed in schedule 1,2 and 3.  

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for S278 works S171 works in accordance with planning application for Pixash Recycling Centre by Bath and North East Somerset Council on the 27th June 2022 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

Schedule 1 - Road Closure / Footpath Closure

 

THE ROAD / FOOTPATH MAY NOT BE CLOSED FOR THE WHOLE PERIOD, JUST AS AND WHEN SIGNS ARE IN POSITION.

From its junction with A4 Bath Road extending in a northern direction for approximately 176 metres to its junction with Ashmead Road.

Pixash Lane, Keynsham – Footpath Closure

The footpath on the east side from its junction with A4 Bath Road extending to its junction with Ashmead Road.

 

Alternative Route: A4 Bath Road – Broadmead lane – Ashmead Road – Pixash Lane.

 

Schedule 2 - No Waiting Restrictions

(South side & North side)

Starting at the existing no waiting restriction at the junction with Pixash Lane extending in a westerly direction for approximately 120 metres.

 

 

Schedule 3 - No Left Turn Restriction

World’s End Lane, Keynsham

No left turn restriction from Worlds End Lane onto Pixash Lane.

 

Access maintained to residents of World’s End Lane, Marshals to assist vehicle through the closure of Pixash Lane onto Ashmead Road.
