NOTICE is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council proposes to make an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be that it is permitted to drive a vehicle over 18 tonnes if it is  being used in connection with or carrying out the maintenance of highways, structures or utility apparatus in Bathwick Street and Cleveland Place or if the vehicle is being used in connection with building, industrial or demolition operations; the removal of obstruction to traffic; the removal of or the recycling of refuse or waste; the maintenance, improvement or reconstruction of the road; the laying, erection, alteration or repair in, or in land adjacent to, the said length of road of any sewer or of any main, pipe or apparatus for the supply of gas, water or electricity or of any telecommunications apparatus in St John’s Road and Grove Street, where such vehicles have no other means of access on the length of the road as listed in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

Schedule 1 – Prohibition of Motor Vehicles over 18 tonnes maximum gross weight

 


 



1)    Bathwick Street & Cleveland Place


From its junction with St Johns Road in a north-west direction including  Cleveland Bridge to a point 70 Metres south east of its junction with London Road.


Nothing in Schedule 1 of this order shall render it unlawful to cause or permit any vehicle to enter on or proceed in the lengths of road referred to in this schedule if the vehicle is being used by Avon Fire & rescue Service.
