(THTTC3335 THE STREET / MARKSBURY BOTTOM, MARKSBURY, BATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

• The Street, Marksbury, Bath from a point outside 75 The Street extending north east to a point outside the property known as Copperfield. USRN: 47903909.
• Marksbury Bottom, Marksbury, Bath from a point outside the property known as The Paddock extending north west to a point outside Court Farm. USRN: 47903913.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer renovations on the 5^th February 2024 for a maximum period of 4 weeks. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

• Marksbury Bottom is anticipated to be closed for ONE WEEK from 5^th February 2024
• The Street is anticipated to be closed for ONE WEEK from 12^th February 2024

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The Street – The Street (remainder) – A39 Bath Road – Winsbury View – The Street – Vice versa.

Marksbury Bottom - Dead-end road. Access will be maintained for residents.
