Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily close to pedestrians that length of the northern spur of footpath BA21/9, extending from the 5-bar gate adjacent to the entrance track to the west of Charmydown Barn for a distance of 230 metres in a northerly then easterly direction, and the southern spur of the BA21/9, extending from a point 17 metres north east of the northern boundary of Charmydown Farmhouse for a distance of 21 metres in a north easterly direction.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath consequent upon the commencement of building works and will be operative from 24th November 2014 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.  This is anticipated to be for a period of 6 months.

From the 5-bar gate, in a northerly direction for approximately 90 metres, then north easterly for approximately 30 metres, southerly along BA21/9 for 20 metres, north easterly along BA21/11 for 160 metres, and southerly for 140 metres, to join up with unaffected section of BA21/9.
