(THTTC3400 KINGDOWN ROAD, NEMPNETT THRUBWELL)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Kingdown Road, Nempnett Thrubwell from its junction with Long Lane/Thrubwell Lane extending west for approximately 480 metres which includes an area within North Somersets county border. USRN: 47920323 / 47831931.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to carry out 2 x pole replacements & tree cutting works on the 4^th April 2024 for a maximum period of 2 days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 10:30 – 16:30hrs.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: New Road – A38 – West Lane – Old Lane – Kingdown Road – Vice Versa.
