(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY PEDESTRIANS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

·  A road closure in that length of Stanton Lane, Pensford from a point 67 metres west of Guys Farm, extending west for approximately 100 metres. USRN: 47920376. These works are anticipated to be completed between 5^th June 2023 – 23^rd June 2023.

· A footpath closure to the section of Public Footpath CL17/32 commencing directly beneath the viaduct and extending either side of the viaduct for approximately 10 metres each side. These works are anticipated to be completed between 10^th April 2023 – 28^th April 2023.

· A footpath closure to the section of Public Footpath CL17/38 commencing directly beneath the viaduct and extending either side of the viaduct for approximately 10 metres each side. These works are anticipated to be completed between 1^st May 2023 – 19^th May 2023.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to complete works to the viaduct parapets directly over the footpath/road by Hammond (ecs) Ltd and will be operative from the 10^th April 2023 for a maximum period of 6 months.

The road and footpaths will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. All closures will be in place week days only between 09:00 – 1600hrs.

And Vice Versa.
