NOTICE IS GIVEN that on 27th July 2023 the Bath and North East Somerset Council (the Council) made an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the 1984 Act), the effect of which will:
· Prohibit any vehicle other than an authorised vehicle to enter Kingsmead Square from its junction with New Street to its junction with Avon Street and from its junction with Avon Street to its northern junction with James Street West between 11am – midnight everyday.
· Vehicles may only travel in a clockwise direction around Kingsmead Square from its junction with New Street to its junction with Avon Street and in a southerly direction along Avon Street to its northern junction with James Street West.
· Restrict and prohibit parking, loading and waiting as shown on the tiles to this Order.
· Authorise designated loading as shown on the tiles to the Order. The order will come into operation on 28th July 2023. Full details of the proposal together with a map and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the order may be inspected at the One Stop Shops at Manvers Street, Bath, The Hollies, High Street, Midsomer Norton and at the Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours. The proposal may also be viewed on the Council’s website by typing in 20-010A in the search box on the home page: www.bathnes.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-order-notices Any person who desires to question the validity of, or any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose. |
