(THTTC3347 KINGSFIELD / AMBLESIDE ROAD / GEORGIAN VIEW, SOUTHDOWN, BATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

· Kingsfield, Southdown, Bath from its junction with Ambleside Road extending east for approximately 50 metres. USRN: 47901034.

· Ambleside Road, Southdown, Bath from its junction with Stirtingale Road extending south for approximately 175 metres. USRN: 47900184.

· Georgian View, Southdown, Bath from its junction with Ambleside Road extending west for approximately 35 metres. USRN: 47900612.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to replace water main pipes and transfer 8 services in the carriageway on the 22^nd April 2024 for a maximum period of 6 weeks. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for FOUR WEEKS.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Kingsfield closure: Kingsfield Road (remainder) – Edgeworth Road – Ambleside Road - Vice Versa.

Ambleside closure: Ambleside Road – Marsden Road – Englishcombe Lane – Kingsway – Vice versa.

Georgian View closure: Marsden Road – Ambleside – Vice versa.
