(THTTC3146 BRASSKNOCKER HILL / CHURCH LANE / TROLLOPE’S HILL, MONKTON COMBE, BATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

· Brassknocker Hill from its junction with the A36 Warminster Road extending to its junction with Church Lane / Trollope’s Hill. USRN: 47902183.

· Church Lane from its junction with Brassknocker Hill extending west for approximately 400 metres. USRN: 47961661.

· Trollope’s Hill from its junction with Brassknocker Hill extending east for approximately 220 metres. USRN: 47961576

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out Gas main upgrade works on the 24^th July 2023 for a maximum period of 12 weeks. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for SIX WEEKS.

The works will be carried out in 3 phases:

• Brassknocker Hill – works are anticipated to take 5 days
• Church Lane – works are anticipated to take 19 days
• Trollope’s Hill – works are anticipated to take 9 days

Church Lane Closure: Shaft Road – Claverton Down Road – Brassknocker Hill – Vice Versa

Trollope’s Hill Closure: A36 Warminster Road – Brassknocker Hill – Vice Versa
