(THTTC3046 CHELSEA ROAD / STATION ROAD, BATH)

(TEMPORARILY INTRODUCE A ONE-WAY RESTRICTION)

(TEMPORARILY INTRODUCE A NO RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2023

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

  • A one-way restriction in that length of Chelsea Road for its entire length from its junction with Newbridge Road to its junction with Newbridge Hill with vehicles travelling in a north-bound direction only. USRN: 47900460.
  • A one-way restriction in that length of Station Road for its entire length from its junction with Newbridge Road to its junction with Locksbrook Road with vehicles travelling in a south-bound direction only. USRN: 47901369.
  • A no right turn from Kennington Road onto Chelsea Road.
  • A no right turn from Park Road onto Chelsea Road.
  • A no right turn from Ashley Avenue onto Station Road.

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for excavation of the footway/highway to install fibre optic apparatus by Kier on the 9th January 2023 for a maximum period of 4 weeks. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for THREE WEEKS.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Chelsea Road: Newbridge Hill - Newbridge Road.

Station Road: Locksbrook Road – Upper Bristol Road – Newbridge Road.
