(THTTC2489 SWALLOW / YORK STREET / KINGSTON PARADE BATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES OF OVER 7.5 TONNES MAXIMUM GROSS WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER (5) EXTENDED 2021

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to
the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce the following restrictions:

 

a)   

Temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Swallow Street, for its entire length

b)     

restrict vehicles over 7.5 tonnes maximum gross weight in York Street, for its entire length

c)   

Temporarily introduce a road closure in the length York Street between Stall Street and Kingston Parade for its entire length.


 

To temporarily extend the restrictions stated as below:

 

               a) close to vehicles the entire length of York Street, Bath;

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road consequent upon repair works, weight restriction, works to the highway, delivery of public realm scheme, also museum fit out by Bath and North East Somerset Council and will be operative from 30th March 2021 for a maximum period of 7 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works which is anticipated to be for a period of 6 months.

Lower Borough Walls – Stall Street – Abbeygate Street
