Notice is given that the order made by Bath and North East Somerset Council on
27th March 2017 will be continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of her powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.  The order will continue in force until the works to which it relates have been completed or until 25th March 2018 whichever is the earlier.  The effect of which will be to continue to close the footpath on that length of Footpath CL1/3, Temple Cloud between grid references E362202 / N158064 and E362423 / N157963
for a distance of approximately 265 metres.


 


This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath consequent upon a residential development by David Wilson Homes South West and will be operative from 25th September 2018 for a maximum period of six months. The footpath will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.  This is anticipated to be for a period of six months.


 


Alternative route:  From grid references E362202 / N158064 in a north easterly direction along Temple Inn Lane, a distance of approximately 108 metres, then in an south easterly direction along footpath CL1/7 for approximately 235 metres, then in a south westerly direction for approximately 50 metres to grid references E362423 / N157963 and vice versa.
