(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY CYCLISTS, HORSE RIDERS AND VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure and suspend all parking to vehicles in that length of:

Sydney Place, Bath at its junction with Sydney Road outside the property known as ‘Sydney Lawns’. USRN: 47900012

Sydney Road, Bath outside the property known as ‘Clan House Lodge’. USRN: 47913661

North Road, Bath from its junction with A36 Warminster Road for approximately 30 metres. USRN: 47901121

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for the installation of the Liveable Neighbourhood Experimental Traffic Regulation Order Scheme by Bath and North East Somerset Council from the 2^nd April 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for a maximum of 13 days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

North Road: North Road (Remainder) – Bathwick Hill – Darlington Street – Sydney Place – Beckford Road – Vice Versa.

Sydney Place: Sydney Place - Darlington Street (southbound - northbound) - Sydney Place - Beckford Road

Sydney Road: Beckford Road – Sydney Place – Sydney Road

PARKING SUSPENSION: Signs and cones to be clearly placed for the duration of the works.
