Notice is hereby given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to suspend temporarily the existing No Waiting Between Times restriction and a section of No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on the western side of Grand Parade extending from a point 126 metres south of its junction with Bridge Street for a length of 30 metres in a southerly direction and to temporarily introduce a Hackney Taxi Carriage Stand Parking Bay in this location and to temporarily introduce a No Waiting At Any Time and No Loading / Unloading At Any Time restriction on the southern side of Orange Grove from a point 32 metres west of its junction with Terrace Walk for a distance of 30 metres in a north westerly direction.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road consequent upon construction works on the Bath Abbey and as a result the need to relocate a section of the existing Hackney Taxi Parking Bay on Orange Grove. This Order will be operative from the 29th January 2018 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be effected for the whole of the period but it is anticipated that the road will be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works which it is anticipated will be for eighteen months.
