 (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING)(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TWO WAY TRAFFIC FLOW) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY SYSTEM)   ORDER 2018


 


Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to
the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure and the suspension of parking being carried out at the locations detailed in schedule 1 and to prohibit the two way traffic flow and introduce a one way system at the locations detailed in schedule 2.


 


This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to facilitate a gas mains replacement by Wales and West Utilities operative from 10th September 2018 for a maximum period of 6 weeks. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for a period of 5 weeks.

Local Diversions to be installed at each location stated in schedule 1,2  if required and signed throughout the duration of the works.

Schedule 1




James Street West, Bath


East bound lane only from its junction with Charles Street in a south easterly direction for approximately 51 metres.


Midland Bridge Road, Bath


West bound traffic only, from its junction with Green Park Road in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 17 metres.

James Street West, Bath


Temporarily prohibit the two way traffic flow along James Street West. One-way traffic to operate on James Street West, from a point at its junction with New Street, in a westerly direction  for a distance of approximately 116 metres.
