Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a footpath closure in that length of footpath BA27/19, running along Bath Hill to the footbridge over the River Chew.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath consequent upon the build of a temporary bridge over the River Chew to allow construction traffic to aid the refurbishment of Keynsham Leisure Centre by Kier Construction and will be operative from the 19th March 2018 for a maximum period of six months. The footpath will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works which is anticipated to be for 16 months.
Alternative route: Bath Hill – Bath Hill East Car park – and footbridge.
