(THTTC2902 DUCTING WORKS - LOWER BOROUGH WALLS, BATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES)

(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY RESTRICTION) ORDER 2022

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the following roads:

 

(a) 

To temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Lower Borough Walls, east of its junction with Hot Bath Street for a distance of approximately 10 metres.

(b) 

To introduce a temporary suspension of the one-way restriction on Lower Borough Walls from its closure point to its junction with Bilbury Lane.

(c) 

To introduce a temporary suspension of the one-way restriction on Hot Bath Street from its junction with Lower Borough Walls extending north to its junction with Beau Street.

(d) 

To introduce a temporary suspension of the one-way restriction on Beau Street from its junction with Hot Bath Street extending east to its junction with Bilbury Lane.

(e) 

To introduce a temporary suspension of the one-way restriction on Bilbury Lane from its junction with Beau Street extending south to its junction with Lower Borough Walls.

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for advanced ducting works in connection with the installation of Hostile Vehicle Mitigation bollard equipment at Hot Bath Street by Bath and North East Somerset Council on the 11th July 2022 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. THE CLOSURE WILL ONLY BE LIVE WHEN SIGNS AND MARSHALS ARE IN POSITION.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hot Bath Street – Beau Street – Bilbury Lane – Lower Borough Walls – Vice Versa.
