(VARIOUS ROADS IN THE PARISH OF CHEW MAGNA, CHEW STOKE, COMPTON MARTIN, STOWEY SUTTON AND WEST HARPTREE) (RESTRICTED ROADS) (40 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) (50 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202* VARIATION NO.2

 

NOTICE is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council proposes to make an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be that it is prohibited to drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour, 40 miles per hour and 50 miles per hour on the lengths of the roads as listed in the Schedule to this notice. 

 

Full details of the proposal are contained in the draft order which, together with a map and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the order, may be inspected at The One Stop Shops at 3-4 Manvers Street, Bath, The Hollies, High Street, Midsomer Norton and at the Keynsham Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours. The proposal may also be viewed on the Council’s website by typing in 21-031 in the search box on the home page: www.bathnes.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-order-notices

 

Objections and representations with respect to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent by 29th September 2022 either in writing to the Traffic Management Team at the address below, or by email to Traffic_Managementteam@bathnes.gov.uk. Please quote the title of the scheme (Various Roads In The Parish of Chew Magna, Chew Stoke, Compton Martin, Stowey Sutton And West Harptree) (Restricted Roads) (40 M.P.H. Speed Limit) (50 M.P.H. Speed Limit) Order 202* Variation No.2 and the reference 21-031. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representations, together with the name and address of the person making it, could become available for public inspection.

30 M.P.H Speed Limit

                          

That length of Wallycourt Road / Walley Lane, Chew Stoke from a point approximately 10.07 metres north east of its junction with Bristol Water Lane heading in a easterly to south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 875 metres.  

 

40 M.P.H Speed Limit

 

That length of Walley Lane, Bishop Sutton which extends from its junction with Hollowbrook Lane in a generally north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 1.27 kilometres.
