Some residential flats with limited storage space in high footfall areas of central Bath have access to a communal on-street food recycling bin. These bins are emptied once a week and residents can use them at any time.
Use this page to find out if your property should use an on-street food recycling bin, and how to use the service. Visit our Food waste page, for more general information about how to use your kitchen caddy.

How to use the service
If you live in a property on one of the streets served by the communal on-street food recycling bins, you should use a 5L kitchen food caddy to collect your food waste at home. You can order a caddy from us or choose to use your own.
You don't need any special key or equipment to access the communal on-street food bins. Just open the bin using the foot pedal and place your food waste bag inside.
Visit our Food waste page or download our service guide leaflet, for guidance on how to use your kitchen caddy, what food waste we do and don't accept and information on what we do with your food waste.
