(25-066) (VARIOUS ROADS, TEMPLE CLOUD)
NOTICE is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council has made an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be that it is prohibited to drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding those miles per hour and on the lengths of road listed below.
extend the current 30mph speed limit on the A37 (Main Road, Temple Cloud) south towards Temple Bridge.
extend the current 30mph speed limit on Temple Inn Lane to its junction with Marsh Lane.
covert the remaining section of 50mph speed limit between Temple Bridge and High Littleton to 40mph
The order will come into operation on 18th June 2026. Full details of the proposal together with a map and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the order may be inspected at the One Stop Shops at Manvers Street, Bath, The Hollies, High Street, Midsomer Norton and at the Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

NOTICE is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council proposes to exercise its powers conferred by section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for Pedestrian Crossings and section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, which permits a highway authority to construct road humps in a public road, for which they are the highway authority, if the highway is subject to a legal speed limit for motor vehicles of 30 miles per hour or less or the road humps are specially authorised by the Secretary of State, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, is to install aRaised Zebra Pedestrian Crossing in the road as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
