Lighting we maintain

Our street lighting team maintains the following:

• Street lighting
• Illuminated street signs
• Illuminated/traffic bollards
• Central island columns (generally found between illuminated bollards)
• Flashing school crossing patrol signs (wig wags)
• Zebra crossings

You can also report a dark area you think needs investigating.

Before you report it

WarningIf you feel your issue is urgent (for example, an item of illuminated street furniture is in a dangerous condition), you can report this as an emergency

Using our website to report issues

You will need to provide a location of the issue (post code or town) and then select the relevant category:

 

• Drains and flooding
• Public spaces and parks
• Roads and pavements
• Rubbish and environment

You will need to provide the following information:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Location of the issue
• A summary of the issue

 

Next steps

The majority of standard lighting issues will be reviewed within 5 working days. Any faults caused by cable damage or power failure may take longer to repair and require National Grid Electricity Distribution to get involved.
