SPEED LIMIT – NOTICE OF INTENTION 

 

BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(25-066) (VARIOUS ROADS, TEMPLE CLOUD)

(30 M.P.H. / 40 M.P.H SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026

 

NOTICE is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council proposes to make an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be that it is prohibited to drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding those miles per hour and on the lengths of road listed below. 

 

  • extend the current 30mph speed limit on the A37 (Main Road, Temple Cloud) south towards Temple Bridge. 

  • extend the current 30mph speed limit on Temple Inn Lane to its junction with Marsh Lane.

  • covert the remaining section of 50mph speed limit between Temple Bridge and High Littleton to 40mph

Objections and representations with respect to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent by 30th April 2026, by selecting consultation 25-066 at: https://consultation.appyway.com/bath-and-north-east-somerset and completing the feedback form that can be seen in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen or in writing to the address below.
