The Hall Estate

The Hall Estate

The Hall Estate is a Grade I-listed Jacobean mansion built in 1610 and long associated with pioneering figures in Britain’s wool, rubber, and automotive industries. It later became the historic home of Dr Alex Moulton, the celebrated engineer and inventor whose innovative MINI suspension system and iconic small-wheeled bicycles have strong industrial links to Bath and beyond.

Located just minutes from the centre of Bradford-on-Avon and a short journey from Bath, The Hall Estate is steeped in history and set within beautiful grounds. Our open house tours explore the mansion’s architecture, long-running stories, and the notable families who lived here, while showcasing the estate’s unique contribution to the region’s industrial heritage.

Visitors can also enjoy the seven acres of beautifully maintained grounds and a truly immersive experience of one of Wiltshire’s most remarkable historic homes.

The Hall Estate also offers overnight stays within the historic property – please get in touch directly on the Moulton Trust website for availability, current offers and preferential rates for Discovery Card holders.
