We are beginning to setup shop and get to the heart of the matter in Sprint 1.
Children’s Services Social Care is a big and busy team doing an important job of keeping our children and young people safe. Working closely with the Admin team, a team of Service Designers will carry out a Discovery project to reveal opportunities for improvement.
A first step in gathering the facts
This will provide a great chance to use our user-centred design knowledge while applying GDS Service Standards. An Inception workshop, taking place next week, is the first step in gathering key stakeholders together to gain a shared understanding of the objectives, consensus around what success looks like from different perspectives, plan initial research tasks as well as defining roles and responsibilities.
Sprint 1 will include a process of mapping current admin team workloads, what tasks they are doing as well as what's working well and what isn't.
We won’t know any predicted outcomes until we start participating in research conversations, shadowing, and desk research, which will be starting over the coming weeks. We have so much to learn.
