Manage your Council Tax online

Council Tax online account log in changes

Over the coming months, you may notice some changes when logging into your online account. These updates are part of ongoing improvements to enhance access and security.

You can still use your existing login details, but once entered, you’ll be prompted to enter a verification code which will be sent to the email address you have registered. This extra step is designed to provide additional protection for your account.

Use this service to sign into, or create an online account, to check your Council Tax balance, get paperless billing, and access other services.

You’ll need your Council Tax account number, which you can find in the top left corner of your bill. During setup, you will also need to answer some security questions. Having your online key to hand will make this process quicker. Your online key can be found on the top right corner of your bill.

If you can't find your account number you can use our online form to contact us.

Manage your account online 

Once created and signed in to your account you can use the following services at a time to suit you:

  • View your bills online, with email notifications
  • See previous payments
  • Sign up to get paperless billing
  • Sign up to paying your Council tax by direct debit
  • Update your contact details
  • Tell us if you are moving home, or have purchased or sold a property

If you’ve recently made a payment

Please allow at least 5 working days for payments to show on your account.
