1. Research and sustainable transport strategy

   Completed 2015

   We adopted the Getting Around Bath Transport Strategy. This identified working towards sustainability, while enabling growth, as a central challenge for our future transport policy.

2. Transport Delivery and Action Plan: Current and Future Report

   Completed August 2020

   We published the first version of this report, then called the Transport Delivery Action Plan for Bath. This brought together wider regional policy, and detailed research on local travel and transport needs, and how we might serve these more sustainably for the future. 

3.  Launch consultation

   Completed January to March 2021

   This consultation offered the opportunity to comment on transport policy in the Transport Delivery Action Plan. 

4. Consultation feedback report

5. Public consultation

   Completed January to February 2022

   This consultation gave you an opportunity to review the Journey to Net Zero plan, and to comment on the potential future sustainable transport projects within it.

6. Consultation feedback report and final decision

   Active May 2022

   Publication of feedback report from this consultation. 

   The report has amended and developed, based on consultation feedback. The final report was approved by Cabinet in May 2022 and has now been adopted.

7. Develop business cases for future transport projects (2022 to 2023)

   On target May 2021 onwards

   We intend on delivering the improvements identified in the Journey to Net Zero plan as quickly as possible. Immediately after the plan is approved, we will begin work to develop the business cases needed to deliver the projects which are identified.
