The Inclusion and SEND Advice Service helps settings (Early Years, Schools and Further Education Colleges) to identify SEND at the earliest possible opportunity and to implement timely support and provision to meet a range of needs and ensure that young people can achieve the best possible social and academic outcomes.
About the support we offer
The Inclusion and SEND Advice Service is an experienced team offering practical guidance on processes and provision, including:
- implementing the B&NES SEND Commitment
- the Graduated Response
- writing My Plans and SEND Support Plans
- observation and reports from Education Inclusion Co-Ordinators
- initial requests for needs assessments
- consultations to discuss provision for individual children and young people, which requires an Agreement to Engage
- signposting to other commissioned / professional support available within the local area
- training and CPD

To refer a child or young person to our service you must get an Agreement to Engage from the person with parental responsibility.

Your request will be triaged and allocated to the most appropriate practitioner. We aim to respond to your request within five working days and will arrange an online consultation or a visit, as appropriate.
