NOTICE IS GIVEN that on 10th August 2023 the Bath and North East Somerset Council (the Council) made an experimental order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the 1984 Act), the effect of which will:

 

·      

Introduce dual use Zone 28 Permit Holder and 2 Hour Limited Waiting in lengths of Upper Oldfield Park, Bath.

·      

Introduce 2 Hour Limited Waiting in lengths of Livingstone Terrace, Bath.

·      

Introduce dual use Zone 28 Permit Holder and 3 Hour Limited Waiting in lengths of St Kilda’s Road, Triangle East, Triangle North, Moorland Road and Beckhampton Road, Bath.

·      

Introduce 3 Hour Limited Waiting in lengths of Second Avenue and Oldfield Lane, Bath.

 

To view full details of the experimental order in detail and submit objections and representations to the experimental order being made permanent, together with the grounds on which they are made, should be submitted online by completing the online survey at: www.bathnes.gov.uk/oldfieldETRO within a period of 6 months, beginning with the day on which the experimental order comes into operation, or if the order is varied by another order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force. Responses can also be submitted in writing to the Traffic Management Team at the address below.

 

The Council will consider in due course whether the provisions contained in the experimental order should be continued indefinitely. At that time any objections and representations received will be given consideration.  Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.

 

The order comes into operation on 29th August 2023 and a copy together with a map and a statement of reasons may be inspected at The One Stop Shops at 3-4 Manvers Street, Bath and at the Keynsham Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours. Full details of the experimental order are available on request in other languages, audio, Braille, large print or other formats. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act have not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
