BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(THTTC2286 MONMOUTH PLACE, BATH) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PERMIT AND PAY & DISPLAY PARKING) (TEMPORARY LOADING BAYS) ORDER 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order to the effect of which will be to temporary suspend the use of the Permit Holder and Pay & Display parking bay on the southern side of Monmouth Place, Bath from a point where the existing Permit and Pay & Display bay joins up to the existing Doctors Bay for a distance of 12 metres in a easterly direction and temporarily introduce a loading bay in this location. Also temporarily suspend the Permit and Pay & Display parking on the southern side of Monmouth Place, Bath from a point 12 metres east of its junction with Cumberland Row for a distance of 12 metres in a easterly direction and temporarily introduce a loading bay in this location.

This order is required to provide additional loading provision in central Bath due to the need for social distancing measures amidst the Covid-19 pandemic which have removed existing loading bays around the City. This Order will be operative from the 8th September 2020 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be effected for the whole of the period but it is anticipated that the road will be restricted as and when traffic signs and markings are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works which it is anticipated will be for eighteen months.
