Focused amendments to the Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) were adopted on 9th August 2019. The SPD amendments sets out the Council's approach to planning obligations for green infrastructure. Associated amendments were made to Bath and North East Somerset Council’s CIL Infrastructure list. 2. Community Infrastructure Levy
The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a tariff system that allows local authorities to raise funds from developers to contribute to the costs of providing some of the infrastructure needed for new development.

Bath and North East Somerset Council approved the current CIL Charging Schedule in February 2015. It took effect from 6 April 2015.

3. The Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)
The Planning Obligations SPD was approved in 2015 and amended in 2019 (Refer to Section 1 of this page for details of the amendment, and the Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document web page.
