Our job coaching service is currently delivered by the vocational hub within Learning Disabilities Provider Services. We are proposing to transfer responsibility for job coaching to the Business and Skills team.
This team supports people with employment, skills and ongoing support in work. The change would mean you would still receive support in your jobs and we want to support to feel consistent and reliable. The aim is to help you stay in work and continue to do well.
This consultation is part of a wider review of day services and job coaching within Learning Disabilities Provider Services.
What we are consulting on
The proposed change is intended to bring job coaching closer to services that support employment, skills development and access-to-work opportunities.
Who we want to hear from
We would like feedback from:
- people who use the job coaching service
- people with learning disabilities who may use the service in the future
- parents, carers and family members
- support providers and partner organisations
- employers who work with the service
- council staff and other professionals involved in supporting people with learning disabilities
- anyone else with an interest in the proposal
Drop-in sessions
We will be holding online drop-in sessions during the consultation period so that people can find out more about the proposal, ask questions and get support to complete the consultation.
