Scheme overview

Copseland provides a quiet, low traffic route for pedestrians and cyclists travelling between Combe Down and the University of Bath. We want to improve the safety of this route by adding zebra crossings at each end of Copseland, making it easier to manage busy roads which cross this route. 

We plan to encourage more active and environmentally friendly travel, and change the character of the route in the following ways:

• Creating zebra crossings with separate crossing areas for pedestrians and cyclists
• Installing continuous footways at junctions at both ends of Copseland, to make them safer for pedestrians
• Redesigning a bus stop
