By working together, we can build a shared understanding and respond to the issues that matter most to local people.

Meetings are open to everyone and take place either in person or online. The forum usually meets 4 times a year.

Recent meetings

10 February 2026: This was an online meeting with a main theme of children and young people. The forum heard about the Families First and Best Start in Life initiatives, the work of Mentoring Plus and the SENDIAS BathNES service. There was also discussion about the lack of rural public transport and the difficulties this presents for young people. This will be raised at Parish Liaison for further discussion. 19 November 2025 (AGM): This was an online meeting and the forum’s AGM. Topics included:

  • Community showcase from Dorothy House
  • Transformation of Community Health Services
  • B&NES Enhanced Medical Services (GP Federation)
  • Community Wellbeing Hub

25 June 2025: The forum met at Camerton Community Hall and received an update from the police, followed by questions. Attendees heard about the Energy in Your Community project and a presentation on the Local Plan. This was followed by a World Café session on development, transport and sustainability in the Bathavon area.
