BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(THTTC2342, HIGH STREET AND LITTLETON LANE, WELLOW)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2021

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of High Street and Littleton Lane, Wellow. This closure will be carrying out in 2 phases:

Phase 1

High Street, Wellow from its junction with Wellow Road to its junction with Bath Hill.

Alternative Route- Bath Hill – Combe Hay Lane – Roman Road A367 – Wellow Lane – Wellow Road – Vice Versa.

Phase 2

Littleton Lane, Wellow from its junction with High Street its junction with Dairy Hill.

Alternative Route- Wellow Road – Wellow Lane – Hang Hill – Grays Hill – Vice Versa.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for laying duct for fibre network trench in carriageway providing swept tees by Truespeed Communications on the 11^th January 2021 for a maximum period of 12 Days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for 10 Days.
