Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to:

• Temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Bridge Street, from its junction with Northgate Street / High Street, for its entire length.
• Temporarily introduce a southbound road closure in Northgate Street at its junction with New Bond Street (the bus gate).
• Temporarily introduce a road closure in the southbound lane of New Bond Street at its junction with Northgate Street (the bus gate). 
• Temporarily suspend the existing No Left Turn restriction in Upper Borough Walls at its junction with Northgate Street
• Temporarily introduce a ‘No Right Turn’ restriction in Upper Borough Walls at its junction with Northgate Street.
• Temporarily close the footway on the west side of Northgate Street from its junction of Upper Borough Walls to its junction with New Bond Street (adjacent to ‘Toni and Guy’). 

This order is required because works are proposed to be executed in Bridge Street by British Telecom on the 12^th April 2022 for a maximum period of 1 night. The restrictions will only be operative when traffic signs are in position and may not be required for the whole of the period, but only for so long as it is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for ONE NIGHT between 19:00 and 06:00hrs. 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Northgate Street – Broad Street – George Street – Gay Street – Queen Square – Chapel Row – Charles Street – Green Park Road – Corn Street – St James’s Parade – Dorchester Street – Manvers Street – Pierrepont Street – Orange Grove – High Street.
