Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Widcombe Hill, Widcombe, Bath from its junction with Macaulay Buildings extending north east to its junction with Copseland. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for the siting of a crane for delivery of new substation plant on behalf of National Grid on the 3rd June 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 10:00 – 13:00hrs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise: A36 Pulteney Road – A36 Rossiter Road – A36 Pulteney Road – Bathwick Hill – Oakley – Claverton Down Road – Widcombe Hill – Vice versa.
Anti-clockwise: Widcombe Hill – Claverton Down Road – Oakley – Bathwick Hill – A36 Pulteney Road – Vice versa.
