Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Weston Park, Upper Weston, Bath from its junction with Weston Park West extending south east to its junction with Weston Park East. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach engineers safe access to telegraph poles to provide fibre overhead cabling on the 28th May 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 – 15:30hrs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise: Weston Park (remainder) – Weston Lane – Crown Road – High Street (one-way section) – Crown Hill – Weston Park.
Anti-clockwise: Weston Park (remainder) – Crown Hill – High Street (one-way section) - Weston Lane – Weston Park.
