Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
• Blacksmith’s Lane, Kelston, Bath from its junction with A431 Bath Road. USRN: 47904485.
• Kelston Hill Lane, Kelston, Bath from its junction with A431 Bath Road. USRN: 47904487.
• Church Lane, Kelston, Bath from its junction with A431 Bath Road. USRN: 47903857.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bristol Water to carry out renovations of the old water main from the 19th May 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
• Blacksmith’s Lane - Works are anticipated to take place between 19th May – 27th June 2025.
• Kelston Hill Lane - Works are anticipated to take place between 2nd June – 13th June 2025.
• Church Lane, Kelston- Works are anticipated to take place between 23rd June – 22nd August 2025.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: No alternative - Dead-end roads.
