Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 has made an order the effect of which will be to close temporarily to vehicles, the roads and lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 of this notice.
This order is required in order to prevent obstruction during the Remembrance Day Parade and will be operative on Sunday 9th November 2025. The closures are scheduled to be between the times of 10:30hrs to 13:00hrs.
Parade details:
10:40 hrs – 10:45 hrs approx. – Parade leaves muster point – West Clewes Recreation Ground/North Road/Radstock Road.
10:40 hrs – 10:50 hrs approx. – Upper reach of Midsomer Norton High Street closed for parade.
10:40 hrs – 12.00 noon hrs approx. – Lower reach of High Street closed for service.
10.45 hrs – 11:45 hrs – Remembrance Service and Wreath Laying.
12.00 noon hrs approx. – Targeted re-opening of the road.
