Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
• Redlynch Lane, Chewton Keynsham from a point approximately 138 metres east of the property known as Highfield (near the Byway), extending east to its junction with Chewton Road. USRN: 47917440.
• Chewton Road, Chewton Keynsham from a point approximately 202 metres north of Chewton Farm House extending south to a point outside Redlynch Cottages. USRN: 47916450.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable a safe working area for Openreach engineers to access existing telegraph pole(s) to provide fibre overhead cabling for a customer on the 23rd June 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
Redlynch Lane - Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 – 15:30hrs
Chewton Road - Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 – 14:30hrs
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Redlynch Lane: Chewton Road – Fairy Hill – Culverhay – Court Hill – Rankers Lane – Hunstrete Lane – Woollard Lane – Charlton Field Lane – Charlton Road – Redlynch Lane – Vice versa.
Chewton Road: Chewton Road – B3116 Wellsway – Bath Hill – Temple Street – Ashton Way – Charlton Road – Redlynch Lane – Vice versa.
