Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a no waiting / no loading at any time restriction to all traffic, in that length of Railway Place, City Centre, Bath. The restriction shall be implemented on the north side of the carriageway, from a point approximately 35 metres east of its junction with Manvers Street extending east for approximately 78 metres.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable safer access for Royal Mail vehicles to enter/exit the Royal Mail depot, whilst the Manvers Street road closure is in place from the 27th July 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. The no waiting / no loading at any time restriction is anticipated to be in place between 27th July – 20th November 2026.
