Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
• Radford Hill, Timsbury, Bath from its junction with South Road extending east for approximately 205 metres. USRN: 47917409.
• B3115 North Road, Timsbury, Bath from a point outside ‘Choice Hair’ to a point outside ‘The Seven Stars’, measuring a distance of approximately 80 metres. USRN: 47917284.
• B3115 North Road, Timsbury, Bath from its junction with Lansdown View to a point outside the ‘Co-op’, measuring a distance of approximately 40 metres. USRN: 47917284.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to carry out highway improvement works from the 16th February 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE WEEKS at each location.
The final closure dates for each location are yet to be confirmed but are anticipated to take place sometime within the next 6 months.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Radford Hill diversion: South Road – B3115 Hook – Weekesley Lane – Radford Hill – Vice versa.
North Road diversion: B3115 – A367 – A362 – B3355 – A39 – B3115 – Vice versa.
