Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

•       Pilgrims Way, Chew Stoke from its junction with Webbs Mead extending south to a point outside the property known as Beaumont. USRN: 47904069.

•       School Lane, Chew Stoke from its junction with Pilgrims Way extending west to a point outside the property known as Mahe. USRN: 47917785.

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Truespeed to recover and respan low hanging cables, excavate highway to lay x 2 poles and complete splicing and fibre works on poles and in chambers on the 28th July 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS between 08:30 – 16:00hrs.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: For Pilgrims Way: Clockwise: Pilgrims Way – B3114 – Pilgrims Way.

 

For Pilgrims Way: Anti-Clockwise: B3114 – Blind Lane – Pilgrims Way.

 

For School Lane: B3114 – Bickfield Lane – Snatch – Rugmoor Lane – Pixey Hole Lane – Dewdown – Spring Lane – Pit Lane – Gravel Hill – Shoreditch – School Lane – Vice versa.
